Lately I’ve been imagining that I’m on a Caribbean island relaxing on a lounge chair on the sand watching the perfect waves wash on the shore. This daydream of course isn’t complete without the perfect tropical drink. Pina Coladas always fit that bill for me. The tropical flavors just sing and come together perfectly. I feel totally relaxed as I drink one.

Recently, I turned my fave cocktail into a smoothie that can be enjoyed for breakfast or anytime of the day by the whole family, including the kiddies. The flavors are perfectly tropical and filled with fruit flavor. It is also so smooth and silky and not too sweet. Pineapple and coconut together already are sensational but the addition of banana helps to make the smoothie perfectly silky.

Another element to this perfectly smooth smoothie is the Wolf Gourmet high performance blender. The end results are smooth like velvet. When Wolf Gourmet says high performance, they truly mean high performance. It is strong enough to handle breaking down the frozen fruit chunks in this drink that could otherwise turn out not so smooth. I hate when home smoothies have bits and chunks of fruit that haven’t melted perfectly into the drink. In this case, you certainly don’t have to worry about that.

There are tons of settings that you can use. You can vary the speed and program settings to create your ideal blend. I chose to use the smoothie setting because the results are wonderful. The LCD panel also keeps you totally in touch as you blend. You can adjust as you see fit so your results are just how you want them. I also love that I can just set the smoothie and go. When I return, the smoothie is ready!

The flavors really come together magically. You will taste the hints of pineapple, coconut and banana throughout. If you like your smoothies a bit sweeter, a touch of honey is all you need to make that happen. The ratios are just perfect. I know you will absolutely love having this recipe again and again this summer.
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 medium banana sliced
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1-2 tbsp honey optional
- Add coconut milk to the Wolf Gourmet high performance blender
- Add banana, pineapple chunks and honey, if desired
- Set blender to SMOOTHIE setting and blend until completely smooth and creamy
- Serve immediately
